The instability control
The bipedal assessments conducted up till now have enabled quantifi cation of the mobile platform’s average oscillation ball-like rendering, without considering a relationship wielding considerable importance:
Mass of the subject / system instability (open loop system).
To provide a dynamic proprioceptive control test with the required reality, it is indispensable that the system offers the same instability whenever the body mass of the subject under examination changes (closed loop, feedback reaction system).
The Instability Control device that is provided in the Pro-Kin Type B line systems is capable of automatic system stability alteration in relation to the detected body mass (mass data detected by the force sensors) and to the set and entered instability coefficient.
Therefore, once the instability coefficient (from 1 to 50) has been set and entered, the Instability Control device allows for the comparison of the results recorded with patients having different body masses.
