Monopedal proprioceptive systems

Monopedal proprioceptive systems are often used for
peripheral motor control and generally at controlled-load.
Due to its particularly restricted size, the mobile surface
provides for very fi ne, swift movements.
It is generally only with motorially skilled subjects that
proprioceptive training is carried out in a totally monopedal
stance mode.
The most frequent applications of these types of devices
are: tibial-tarsal sprains – cruciate knee ligaments – hip
replacement prosthesis – peripheral proprioceptive control
in CNS pathologies – proprioceptive control of the trunk in
seated position.
