    The data acquisition card transfers the angular movements of the patient moving on the mobile platform to the PC. The joint movement data collected in a kinesthetic trace is displayed on the monitor.

ProKin is the most functional system for proprioceptive-stabilometric assessment born from our experience, ideal for the rehabilitation of the lower limbs. The technology applied to ProKin 252 sees a mechanical system and 50-level of electronic stability control connected to the software for complete integration and maximum gesture control.
Thanks to these characteristics, ProKin 252 is your system to help the patient reconstruct the correct map of proprioceptive sensations.

Electronic pressure regulator

The stability of the moving platform is managed by an electro-pneumatic system via an electronic pressure regulator, which allows independent stability control on the two axes of movement antero-posteriorly and laterally on the right and left.
Thanks to this solution the system can be easily exploited and transformed from multiaxial to uniaxial.

Trunk sensor

The TK Sensor torso sensor is the bi-axial inclinometer which, when applied to your patient's torso during exercises performed on ProKin, is able to detect its oscillations in every direction.
The use of the trunk sensor combined with ProKin during proprioception exercises helps you evaluate whether the subject has good peripheral control, i.e. control of the ankles, knees and hips, without involving the torso to compensate for bad posture.

The ProKin 252 configurations

Prokin can be used in different ways:

  • Static: stabilometry allows you to evaluate the patient in a static situation with the oscillation of the center of pressure (COP) and the area and perimeter of the Center of Pressure
  • Single-leg dynamics with controlled load: used for ankle sprains, cruciate knee ligaments, hip prostheses, peripheral proprioceptive control in pathologies affecting the Central Nervous System
  • Bipedal dynamics: useful for a dynamic two-legged exercise that provides a test on the subject's management of instability
  • With trunk control: the Trunk module, equipped with 30 levels of instability, allows an exercise and evaluation of the pelvic area in a sitting position.

The trunk module

Balance Trunk is the system that can be combined with ProKin and is able to provide indications on the quality of pelvic movement and its perception by the patient. It is an evaluative and simultaneously training system, preparatory for the development of motor control through lumbar stabilization.

Software

Assessment modules

The software of the ProKin 252 system is equipped with many evaluation programs that allow the therapist to understand exactly what the patient's balance management and proprioceptive conditions are. The sensorimotor evaluation includes tests of incremental difficulty such as the two-legged balance test, the single-leg proprioceptive control test with controlled load and the single-leg balance test with total load.

Training results

Rehabilitation paths are available to improve perceptive conditions, which can be performed in two-legged and single-legged modes and with modifiable parameters, such as:
· the joint RoM
· trunk control
· the instability coefficient of the platform

Rehabilitative exergames

Not only evaluation and training, but also many games to train balance, capable of attracting the patient's attention during training sessions and keeping his concentration level high, but at the same time helping him escape from the classic motor re-education session.
